With grateful thanks to David Ross, the Parish Council secured the lease for the new Ashley Recreation Ground in 2019. We are very fortunate to have six and a half acres in the heart of Ashley which is protected for the long term through Fields in Trust.

After much work securing grants – with help from a committed team of the Ashley Parish Council and other volunteers – we are enjoying the use of a circular walk around the field with stunning views over Welland Valley with new trees planted. Facilities open for villagers are a tennis court, cricket nets, Petanque piste and football field.  Huge thanks are due to a generous grant from lottery funds and Tesco which enabled the facilities, trees and benches.
